Glow by Michelle's mission is to create effective, naturally-inspired skincare products that will make customer's "glow" in every way. We make high quality, handmade products using the finest ingredients. All products are handmade in Greenville, SC.   

Glow by Michelle was born in August 2011 in the kitchen of owner and founder, Michelle Henderson.

As a teenager, Michelle suffered from acne which took a toll on her self-esteem. As a result, Michelle would often mix up her own concoctions in an effort to treat her acne.  Michelle's love of "whipping" up stuff led to a formal education and professional experience. Michelle has always had a desire to own a line of skincare products.   Glow by Michelle was created to develop natural and effective products to make people feel good about themselves and "glow" in every way.

Glow by Michelle products are formulated and handmade by owner and founder Michelle Henderson. Michelle was raised in Kingstree, SC and currently resides in Greenville, SC. Michelle earned a bachelor of science degree in Chemistry and a Master of Business Administration in Management. She has professional experience formulating skincare and hair care products, and many years of researching natural ingredients. In addition to making skincare products, Michelle loves teaching and is an Instructor at local colleges.

 

Why Use Natural Soaps Instead Of Commercial Soaps

The main difference is what goes into natural soap. The bars are made with all natural oils and butters. The oils gently cleanse your skin while nourishing, instead of stripping it like detergents in commercial soap since they do not contain any harsh surfactants. Try a bar- your skin will thank you! You will see the difference after your first shower or bath.

Glow by Michelle soap is made using the cold process method in which melted butters and oils are blended with a lye/water solution. This mixture is then molded, cut, and cured for four weeks to ensure a solid bar and luxurious lather.

Glow by Michelle soaps are made using all natural ingredients including: olive oil, sunflower oil, shea butter, castor oil, coconut oil and palm oil.

Glow by Michelle soap provides superior moisture to dry skin. 

Soap is fragranced with various fragrance oils. Colorants are used in some soap. Unfragranced soap and soap without colorants are also made for the more sensitive skin types.

Due to the fact that Glow by Michelle soap is all natural and do not contain any chemical preservatives, the shelf life may be shorter than commercial soaps and should be used within one year to ensure freshness.

Soap is hand cut and weigh approximately 4-5 ounces.

While using, we recommend using a soap dish to allow proper air circulation around the bar, for complete drying.
